I need someones opinion plz?

ok well i have been in gymnastics my whole life and now i want to do cheerleading for one year which is the last year for ppl my age. Well my dad is being stubburn and wont let me do fundraising. So he was like no u aint doin it. But today i was with my friend and her mom is someone who helps out wit cheer and she was like they can give u a scholarship to join cause my dads pay went down recently so yea. But i tell my dad today about it and he was like where is the papers with info on them, im like there isint unless its aficial and he wont budge cause he dont have his own damn papers. so wat do u think i should do? should i just forget about the cheerleading or should i keep trying. cause im at the point of nowhere. :p
