Muscle loss and gain?

About 2 months ago I stopped lifting all together because of a crazy hockey schedule. I used to life 3 to 4 times a week and now when i try to lift the weights that i did back then, i can maybe do a tenth of as many repetitions. Will it be easier this time to get back to where I was or is it going to be like starting new?
