What is the easist and fastest way to remove shingles and decking down to the trusses.?

if you are going to replace the decking don't bother stripping the shingles first. removal of shingles makes a huge mess. simply cut through the roof shingles and all. cut down the center of each truss space and you can push one side down and the other side comes up. like a lever. th=en pry it loose, make sure you don't cut the pieces to big to maneuver. start at the top with manageable sections and walk the sections to the edge then throw them into the awaiting dumpster. its fast and a lot less mess. and no need to go into a dirty hot attic. stay ouside where at least the air is fresh.
