My horse just started bucking, rearing, etc.?

The first horse could have just seen something spooky, there are millions of things that could suddenly be scary that they have walked by hundreds of times before. Horses feed off of each others energy and even the most calm and docile horses can be influenced by another spooky horse. Keep your leg on and get them in a tight circle until they chill!
